About Nadaka

In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. I remember experimenting with a reel-to-reel recorder, superimposing different music on left and right channels, discovering unexpected combinations and a magical repeat delay effect. That's when I realised sound itself is everything. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Jan Garbarek, Jon Christensen, Keith Jarrett, Palle Danielsson, My Song Lyle Mays, Pat Metheny, As Falls Wichita, So Falls Wichita Falls The Beatles, Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band (2017 Mix) My song is direct & intimate with a natural balance between compo and impro. Wichita Falls ideep & atmospheric. Beatles! "Within Without You" In a decade, they took us from rock & roll love songs to completely new, parallel realms of consciousness. Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Raga Blue” “Raga Blue” is, for me, a dream come true. It brings together a subtle blend of raga tradition, vocal expression, Geet-Taar, and blues-inspired riffs. The fine, steady tabla and the solid, grounded bass groove give it a strong foundation throughout. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? One of the most memorable moments has been playing completely unrehearsed music while discussing ragas with great Indian classical musicians. There is something deeply alive and spontaneous and true in those exchanges. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? There are very many unpublished compositions that I have been playing regularly, some for decades. I feel now is the right moment for them to come out into the world.
