Jacob Garchik

Trombonist, multi-instrumentalist, composer, and arranger, Jacob Garchik is known for his fearless blend of post-bop jazz, classical, and avant-garde traditions. He first emerged in the '90s with the Lee Konitz New Nonet and has worked with artists like Kronos Quartet, Anthony Braxton, Joe Maneri, and others. He also leads his own group with Dan Weiss and Jacob Sacks and has released albums like 2008's Romance, 2011's 40 Twenty, and 2022's Assembly. In 2025, he released the sci-fi concept album, Ye Olde 2: At the End of Time, featuring guitarists like Mary Halvorson, Miles Okazaki, and Ava Mendoza, among others.
