About Monobloc
New York-based post-punk/garage rock band Monobloc turn wiry guitars into catchy tunes using sleek production and tight playing to craft a distinctly metropolitan sound. Originally formed in the early 2020s by two friends, Timothy Waldron (vocals) and Michael Silverglade (bass), after leaving their former band, Courier Club, they expanded to a five-piece with the inclusion of Ben Scofield (guitar), Nina Lüders (guitar), and Zack Pockrose (drums). They released numerous singles in 2024, including their debut "I'm Just Trying to Love You," putting them on the map after the media caught hold. With the press hyping them up and their live shows delivering on their promise, they began playing outside New York, including appearances at international festivals. After a busy year, 2025 saw the release of their self-titled debut EP.
