About Body Count

Body Count is a confrontational thrash metal/gangsta rap fusion band lead by legendary rapper Ice-T. They arrived on a wave of controversy in the early '90s -- especially for the for the anti-police song "Cop Killer" found on 1992's self-titled debut album -- and have continued to crank out variations of their aggressive sound, while applying their anti-authority vitriol to the news of the day on albums like 2017's Bloodlust and 2024's Merciless.
