In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. I remember actually crying while trying to learn guitar when I was young. I had to push really hard to get good enough to play. Eventually, I got the hang of it, but I am proud I never gave up. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Coheed and Cambria, In Keeping Secrets of Silent Earth: 3 John Mayer, Continuum Nickel Creek, Nickel Creek These albums had a profound effect on me both with songwriting and just in terms of what music I enjoy. I like to write country, but the musicality in these albums is something you can get lost in. Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Waiting” Waiting was my first country release. I didn't know it at the time, but the lyrics were speaking to me while I was writing them. This song made me quit my job and pursue music full-time. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Quitting my job. I was very close to qualifying as a lawyer; I only had one year left. But I couldn't become a lawyer without putting my all into my music first. So I quit and the rest is history. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I want to book and sell out the O2 Arena in London myself. I don't want any form of help with it, I want to do it myself (and I'm gonna!)
