In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. When I was a young kid my neighbor had a cool high school band that would jam away in their basement. I would sneak up and peer through their basement window and watch them. I became fascinated by music and begged my parents for a keyboard. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? A Tribe Called Quest, Midnight Marauders J Dilla, Donuts Wu-Tang Clan, Enter The Wu-Tang (36 Chambers) I love Donuts for its creativity and that dilla swing. Midnight Marauders has such a good vibe and it married hip hop and jazz in such a perfect way. I still remember the first time my friend played me Enter The Wu-Tang in his car, so eerie and dope. Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Delorean Warp” This is probably my most played beat on other platforms. I wrote it in Lydian #2 #6 scale which gives it that eerie vibe. A triplet trumpet melody floats on top. I designed the synth sound on my Polybrute keyboard and gave it the SP404 treatment.
