In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. Sitting on the thread-bare carpet, age 7, in the living room. Headphones engulfing my head, and spinning "Sgt. Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band" again and again and again on my mom's turntable. I was lost in that world and never wanted to leave. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Either/Or-I never tire of his songwriting & hidden messages. I feel like I’m listening to a friend every time. Tell us why you chose this song. “My Alcoholic Friends” This song was just a throw-away (I thought) musical theater ditty tucked away on our second record, and then one day it exploded on TikTok and showed the band to a whole new generation of theater weirdos. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Meeting Robert Smith after he watched The Dresden Dolls open for The Cure at a festival. He’d never seen us live and he’s one of my biggest influences. I got to tell him what an important part of my life he had been. We both cried. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I’d love to do an acoustic house party in literally every country in the world, including a meal where we share stories and songs and homemade cuisine. It’d take a while, but I think it’s achievable.
