Red Mecca

Red Mecca is a Swedish band with a sound that leans toward darkwave and atmospheric electronica. Based in Sundsvall, the band centers around former Brända Barn keyboardist and percussionist Jan Strandqvist and, between 2013-2018, frontwoman Frida Madeleine - vocalist Susanne Jonsson took over from Frida after she stepped down. The group has issued a steady string of EPs and albums since debuting in 2013, including the acclaimed Electricity (2016) and I See Darkness In You (2018). Red Mecca is slated to release their eighth full-length effort in 2025.
