Kari Turunen

Kari Turunen studied choral conducting in his native Finland. During three decades in Finland, he directed multiple ensembles and in 2019 became artistic director of the Vancouver Chamber Choir in Canada. Under his leadership in 2026, the Vancouver Chamber Choir released a recording of Christopher Tyler Nickel's Stabat Mater and Magnificat.
