Serena Farnocchia

Soprano Serena Farnocchia has a large repertory stretching from Mozart to Puccini, but her recordings have focused on bel canto works. Both tenor Luciano Pavarotti and conductor Riccardo Muti helped to shape her early career. Farnocchia's repertory is especially strong in Rossini operas, and in 2024, she was heard on recordings of two unusual ones, Elisabetta, regina d'Inghliterra (which she had sung with Boston's Odyssey Opera in 2020), and Ermione; the latter album, on the Naxos label, made classical best-seller lists.
