Raisa K

Londoner Raisa K's keen interest in playing and studying music resulted in an educational path that led her to study at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. There she met Mica Levi, who would guide her into the world of experimental pop. Playing keyboards for Levi's Micachu & the Shapes, Raisa took a hiatus from her studies in 2009 and focused on recording and playing live all over the world, also finding time to work with rapper DELS and remix a host of artists including Laurel Collective. In early 2013, following two studio albums with Micachu & the Shapes, Raisa K embarked on her first solo work through Technicolour. The self-produced Feeder EP featured oddball synths, hypnotic basslines, and her often detached yet captivating delivery. ~ Daniel Clancy
