About Joel Corelitz

In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. Hearing Rondo Veneziano’s Odissea Veneziana at age five changed everything. I became obsessed with its blend of sweeping orchestration, synths, and drum machines. It was the moment I realized emotion and technology could co-exist. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Björk, Vespertine Boards of Canada, Music Has the Right to Children Joni Mitchell, Court and Spark I didn’t even have to think about these. They represent the spectrum of what moves me: adventurous yet deeply human songwriting, complex emotion expressed through electronic sounds, and the kind of sincerity and palette that feels timeless. Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Praxis” Music can say opposing things at the same time. With “Praxis,” I wanted something that felt heroic and victorious while carrying an undercurrent of tragedy. That balance makes it one of my favorite compositions from the last few years. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Getting the call to work on Halo Infinite was unforgettable. I remember thinking, “Wait... you want me to work on what?” That moment felt surreal, and it marked a turning point in how I saw my place in the industry. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? My bucket list is centered on growing my artist project. With “Cumulus,” the music stands independently rather than as a contribution. Next step: DJing, live performance, and building a direct connection with listeners.
