Anasarca

Germany's Anasarca stands at the nexus of classic European and American death metal, delivering uncompromising slabs of technical, boldface riffage and kinetic rhymes with subtle melodic flourishes. The band appeared on various compilations before unveiling their debut album, Godmachine, in 1998. Two years later, they issued their sophomore long-player, Moribund, an assured effort that elicited acclaim across the death metal diaspora. Shortly after the release of 2004's Dying, Anasarca went on hiatus for over a decade. The band reconvened in the mid-2010s, releasing the hard-hitting Survival Mode in 2017.
