The original BB crew all lived in Brighton, MA and were in-between bands, so we started an Afrobeat Project - who would have known that years later it would be going strong and we would have built such a family! What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Antibalas, Who Is This America? Medeski, Martin & Wood, Uninvisible This is the seminal Fela Kuti experience, he is the master and creator of Afrobeat. Who Is This America is Antibalas in their prime, carrying the torch of political Afrobeat. Lastly the groove legends MMW and their finest record IMHO. Tell us why you chose this song. “Giraffe” One of the first songs we ever wrote together, this song is a representation of the feel-good, everyone playing live together sound that the band eventually became known for. It holds a special place in our heart.
