Dam Swindle

Amsterdam duo Dam Swindle base their sound in deep house and classic disco, but branch out to Afrobeat, neo-soul, nu-jazz, and other genres. Emerging in the early 2010s, they founded Heist Recordings and issued several smooth, soulful EPs, with tracks like 2013's "The Break Up" quickly becoming club favorites. Their debut full-length, Boxed Out, featured a guest appearance by Mayer Hawthorne and arrived in 2014, with Seven Davis, Jr. and Tom Misch guesting on the 2018 follow-up High Life. The pair continued to incorporate more organic instrumentation and vocals on their third album, 2025's Open.
