Dumbo Gets Mad

Dumbo Gets Mad is an Italian psych-pop band led by producer and multi-instrumentalist Luca Bergomi. Initially operating out of Los Angeles, Bergomi and singer Carlotta Menozzi recorded a series of critically admired albums for Roman indie Bad Panda Records that fused '60s-indebted psychedelia with Krautrock, disco, lo-fi pop, and other eclectic sounds. 2015's Thank You Neil album served as a sort of bookmark between their more prolific L.A. phase and the subtler, more introspective music Bergomi made after returning to Milan. 2021's self-released Things Are Random and Time Is Speeding Up bore a strong influence of Italian library music and reoriented Dumbo Gets Mad as more of an experimental solo project, with occasional collaboration from Menozzi. They returned four years later with 2025's Five Eggs.
