Jah Wobble

Jah Wobble is a genuine musical polymath who emerged from the post-punk era. His dub-heavy style mines reggae, jazz, funk, punk, and global folk traditions. First emerging as bassist in Public Image Ltd., he later pursued an idiosyncratic musical path beginning with 1980's The Legend Lives On. 1991's Mercury Prize-nominated Rising Above Bedlam, showcased his band Invaders of the Heart. Wobble followed with numerous solo and collaborative outings. In 2019, IotH reunited and issued Realm of Spells. 2021's Metal Box [Rebuilt in Dub] revisited PiL's classic 1979 album. Wobble released three albums in 2023 -- the post-punk A Brief History of Now, The Bus Routes of South London, and the atmospheric Thames Symphony. In 2025, he issued The Old North London Line (Mildmay), and collaborated with reggae singer Ken Boothe on Old Fashioned Ways. He and British guitarist Jon Klein released Automated Paradise in 2026.
