In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. I've been turning everything into a song or a commercial from my earliest memories as a little girl. I turned everything into a microphone. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Bob Marley & The Wailers, Legend: The Best of Bob Marley and the Wailers (Deluxe Edition) Deluxe Edition Carpenters, The Singles 1969-1973 Paul McCartney & Wings, Wings, Wings Greatest Three of my idols. Karen Carpenter was the first voice I ever studied under Gerry Granahan's direction. I obsessed over Wings & Legend throughout my whole life. The lyrics, the musicality, & the authentic sounds of my heroes changed my life. Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “North Star” I wrote this song as a tribute to my mom after I lost her in 2018. It was the first song that I composed & wrote in its entirety myself. It talks about how close we had finally gotten right before she died & how I had to become my own north star. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? My most memorable moment was making it onto the Grammy ballot for the first time ever. As an independent artist in 2017, that felt like an impossible dream come true. That was also the first time I ever attended the Grammy Awards and it felt surreal. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I know the best is yet to come and I have huge aspirations of traveling the world with my music. I trust that God has put the vision in my heart for a reason and I will continue to do the work to be who I need to be to make my dreams come true.
