About Summer Salt

Summer Salt is an Austin, Texas, indie-pop duo founded by high school friends Matthew Terry and Eugene Chung. ∙ The duo’s self-released debut EP, Driving to Hawaii, arrived in 2014, and its title track remains their most popular song to date. ∙ Recorded by Built to Spill and Fleet Foxes producer Phil Ek, their debut LP, Happy Camper, was released in 2018. ∙ Their music video for the 2020 single “Palm Tree on Avenue G” was constructed using more than 100 pieces of fan art sent to the band by listeners.
