The Busters

Wiesloch, Germany-based ska revival combo the Busters were formed in the spring of 1987. They issued their debut LP Ruder Than Rude on the Weserlabel imprint in 1988; the follow-up, Couch Potatoes, featured a pair of collaborations with ska legend Laurel Aitken. After four more LPs for Weserlabel (including a pair of live efforts, 1992's Cheap Thrills and 1995's Live in Montreux), the Busters signed to major-label Mambo/Sony Germany for 1996's Stompede; after a hits collection, Boost Best, the band jumped to Moon Ska for 1998's Make a Move! Welcome to Busterland followed in early 2000. ~ Jason Ankeny
