About Would-Be-Goods

Indie pop group Would-Be-Goods feature the precise songs and vocals of Jessica Griffin backed by first-class music provided by a cast of legendary figures. She was part of the El Records crowd in the late '80s, making a splash with plummy records like 1988's The Camera Loves Me, then vanishing to work a real job. After teaming with Talulah Gosh/Heavenly guitarist Peter Momtchiloff, Griffin guided the band to a series of excellent stripped-down records in the 2000s. She came back with another winner in 2026 with Tears Before Bedtime.
