Adrian Quesada

Guitarist, songwriter, and producer Adrian Quesada has been a member of Grammy-winning bands (Grupo Fantasma, Black Pumas) and is as likely to be in a band dedicated to funky covers (Brownout) as one probing the outskirts of Texas psychedelia (Echocentrics); he's also interested in preserving diverse strands of Latin music. His 2021 project Look at My Soul: The Latin Shade of Texas Soul paid tribute to '60s soul, while 2022's Boleros Psicodelicos updated vintage romantic ballads. Quesada's guitar playing is distinctive, and his production work has the simplicity of roots music, but he's never afraid to take a chance. These qualities have led to awards and respect from fellow artists, who line up to take part in projects like 2022's guest-studded instrumental hip-hop-funk album Jaguar Sound and 2025's Boleros Psicodelicos II. 2026's Trio Asesino saw him stripping it down for a set of funky instrumentals.
