About Ozric Tentacles

Poised on the dividing line between jam-band looseness and progressive-rock adventurousness, British beard-rockers Ozric Tentacles captured the neo-hippie/stoner market starting in the mid-1980s. Incorporating the influences of psychedelia, space-rock, dub, and techno/ambient, the band is famous for its dazzling, hypnotic live performances. Fronted by guitarist/keyboardist Ed Wynne and flautist Jon Egan, the Ozrics have had a revolving door of personnel over the years, but maintained a hardcore cult following.
