About Jill Jaffe

Violist Jill Jaffe is active in classical music, world music, new music, and also composes for film and theater. Based out of downtown N.Y.C., she has performed and recorded throughout the U.S., Europe, and Japan, as well as on Philip Glass' Koyaanisqatsi, Paul Simon's Hearts and Bones, Soul Asylum's 1993 MTV Unplugged appearance, Marc Ribot's Shoe String Symphonettes, and the 1999 Broadway musical, You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown, in which she also served as associate conductor. In addition to these accomplishments, Jill Jaffe has worked with renowned composer Morton Feldman, top improvisers Lee Konitz, Ned Rothenberg, and many more. ~ Joslyn Layne
