About Jeb Loy Nichols

Singer, songwriter, and visual artist Jeb Loy Nichols, once a member of the Fellow Travellers, issued Lovers Knot, his solo debut, on Capitol in 1997. A richly textured album, it featured Nichols' nasally drawl over soul, blues, and reggae. He resurfaced in 2001 with Just What Time It Is. His fourth offering, Now Then, boasted some of his most carefully crafted material, a feat he dutifully replicated on 2007's Days Are Mighty and 2009's Strange Faith and Practice. Long Time Traveller, a dubwise set produced and mixed by Adrian Sherwood appeared in 2010 and in the U.S. in 2016. The star-studded Country Hustle followed in 2017. Backed by local Welsh musicians, Nichols released June Is Short, July Is Long in 2019, and the gritty R&B outing Jeb Loy in 2021, followed by United States of the Broken Hearted with Sherwood in 2022. In 2025, he teamed up with Cold Diamond & Mink, Timmion Records' house band, to release This House Is Empty Without You.
