Penny Arcade

Penny Arcade is the project of singer/songwriter/guitarist/producer James Hoare that finds him in typically restrained, melancholy indie pop territory. Sparse and gentle, with lightly strummed guitars and Hoare's whisper of a voice, the band's first album, 2024's Backwater Collage, continued the fine work he had previously done in other groups, such as Veronica Falls, Ultimate Painting, and the Proper Ornaments.
