Massacre

Massacre is a pioneering extreme metal band that, alongside contemporaries like Death, Obituary, and Morbid Angel, helped shape the influential Florida death metal scene in the late '80s. Known for their raw, old-school death metal sound and gory, H.P. Lovecraft-inspired lyrics, the group's 1991 debut album, From Beyond, is considered a genre classic. Despite enduring frequent personnel changes and hiatuses, Massacre have remained a force in the underground metal scene for decades, releasing their fifth album, Necrolution, in 2024.
