In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. Growing up my Dad let me borrow his GAP BAND cassette. When I heard ‘yearning for your love’ at 6 years old, I said yup, this is what I wanna do…..I wanted to make people feel how that song made me feel. Tell us why you chose this song. “Magic” I wrote this song about how God can turn your situation so fast it’ll feel like Magic. I made it at one of the lowest points in my life but since releasing it I’ve had some of the most success I’ve ever had as a solo artist. It was prophetic! What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Writing with Megan Thee Stallion! We worked on the Coming 2 America soundtrack together. I also engineered the early demos of ‘Savage’ that ended up winning a Grammy with Beyoncé. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I love Cleo Sol and would love to work with her. I want to release a debut album, tour and continue growing my songwriting catalogue.
