About Mobius Band
The trio Mobius Band plays electronica-tinged indie pop along the lines of contemporaries like the Postal Service and the Notwist. After meeting as students at Wesleyan University, Ben Sterling (guitar, keys, vocals), Peter Sax (bass, keys, vocals), and Noam Schatz (drums) moved to Massachusetts before finally settling in Brookyn, New York. A series of EPs found the band experimenting with its sound, while their debut full-length, THE LOVING SOUNDS OF STATIC, released in 2005, showed them settling into a focused, pop-oriented direction. The band’s sophomore album, HEAVEN, appeared in 2007, followed by live appearances with Editors, Cut Copy, and Tokyo Police Club, among others. An EP featuring covers of love songs arrived in 2009 under the name EMPIRE OF LOVE.
