Jasper Høiby

Danish bassist Jasper Høiby is a virtuoso performer, known for his full throttle, yet still sophisticated brand of contemporary post-bop jazz. He's best known for leading his Phronesis trio, as on 2007's Organic Warfare, 2010's Phronesis: Alive, and 2018's We Are All. He also leads the revolving trio 3Elements (its members alternate on each release). Their debut, Earthness, appeared in 2023 and was followed in 2024 by Like Water. Back in 2016, the bassist founded a quintet for Fellow Creatures; he brought them back for 2025's Fellow Creatures: We Must. In March 2026, the bassist returned with 3Elements: Conversations of Hope.
