In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. At age 5, I shocked my older siblings by singing Whitney Houston's "All the Man That I Need." I thought their reaction was exaggerated because I was the baby of the family, but they quickly turned me into their living jukebox for everyone they knew. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Aṣa, Asa [Asha] Erykah Badu, Baduizm Lianne La Havas, Is Your Love Big Enough? Erykah's music made me realise my love for neo-soul. Asa's album showed I could be my authentic African/Kenyan self in my music. Lianne's got me through a tough moment with music and restored my love for it, and gave me courage to write my own songs. It came to me in the shower, and after an 8-year break of no music, I finally woke up again, and I feel like this song marks the beginning of a new chapter and relationship with music
