About Bobby Jo Valentine
In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. I remember listening to Everclear's song "Wonderful" and thinking it was so powerful. You can write about something that personal and make it universal? Nickel Creek's first album also had a huge impact on me. Specifically "A Lighthouse's Tale." What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Henry Jamison, Big Flower Light Go Boom Nickel Creek, Nickel Creek Switchfoot, Oh! Gravity. I love Henry's lyrics - powerful, beautiful, resonant. Nickel Creek's chemistry as a band is unmatched. And Switchfoot helped me so much - their album Oh! Gravity is a wild and wonderful ride. Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Out in the Woods” There's a secret to life I've found that I'm sharing here, simply put" "Follow the love in your life, and know you are made of it." It's the backbone of how I live my life. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? My favorite performance was with the Turtle Creek Chorale, getting to perform my song "Fox Eyes" and have them sing along. It was a really amazing moment sharing that song with 1200 audience members and 250 singers. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I'd love to play Red Rocks Amphitheater in the next 5 years. That'd be such a dream.
