Prolific singer-composer Devi Sri Prasad delivered a powerful soundtrack for 2021 Telugu film Pushpa: The Rise. However, the artist ramps up the energy even more for its 2024 sequel—and he’s helped in no small part by an array of star voices over five high-impact tracks. Nakash Aziz and Deepak Blue lead the anthemic “Pushpa Pushpa” before Shreya Ghoshal’s sublime pipes add playful vibes to the full-on “Sooseki”. There’s satire aplenty coursing through “Peelings” thanks to lively work by both Shankarr Babu Kandukoori and Laxmi Dasa, with the rest of the record drawing from folk rhythms.
