Toronto rapper Pressa puts a unique spin on trap music with his high-pitched, Auto-Tune–heavy vocals. • Growing up in Toronto’s Driftwood neighborhood, Pressa had a rough childhood. Both his brother and his father were incarcerated, and he was inspired to start rapping by the death of a childhood friend. • He broke through in 2016 with “Novacane,” a collaboration with producer Murda Beatz that was cosigned by Meek Mill, The Weeknd, and Drake. • He got another big look In 2017, when he was a special guest on Drake’s Boy Meets World Tour.
