Jeymes Samuel

Fusing classic soundtrack music with hip-hop like his U.S. counterpart Adrian Younge, U.K. singer, producer, and filmmaker Jeymes Samuel sometimes uses the moniker the Bullitts for his unclassifiable music. After releasing the mixtape Urban Folk Music: The Prequel under his own name in 2006, he debuted as the Bullitts with They Die by Dawn & Other Short Stories in 2013. As Jeymes Samuel, he returned with his part orchestral, part genre-defying song score for the 2021 film The Harder They Fall. He then wrote, directed, and co-produced the 2023 biblical comedy-drama film The Book of Clarence, for which he also composed the music.
