What makes Fisk stand out as a performer is his passionate, intense playing, whether it be Bach or Scarlatti, Berio or Rochberg, and his transcriptions, that remain true to the original works' musical intentions but are idiomatic of the guitar. Since the late 1970s, he has recorded dozens of albums featuring his arrangements, works written for him, and collaborations with a diversity of artists.
