Inspired by '90s rave culture, this Ayr-raised house DJ and producer is one of the most successful electronic artists to emerge from Scotland during the 2020s. Some of McVicar's earliest sets took place in modest hometown clubs such as Club De Mar and Fury's but by 2023, he was debuting to 20,000 people at Creamfields' Steel Yard. Along the way, his platinum-selling 2021 Rufus & Chaka Khan cover "Tell Me Something Good" spent 25 weeks in the U.K. Top 100, racking up tens of millions of streams and peaking at number 15. He released tracks on various labels, initially gaining national exposure with help from Patrick Topping and by 2026 had placed another single on the U.K. chart, "Share the House," this time with major-label backing.
