Big Gigantic

The electronic duo Big Gigantic use live saxophone and drums to enliven their singular mix of hip-hop, electro-funk, and more. • Big Gigantic consists of Dominic Lalli—a sax player who earned a master’s degree in jazz from the Manhattan School of Music—and drummer Jeremy Salken. They formed in Boulder, Colorado, in 2008. • The duo dropped their debut album, Fire It Up, in 2009. • Typifying their anthemic, uplifting sound, Big Gigantic’s 2016 album Brighter Future features rappers Logic and Waka Flocka Flame, pop singer ROZES, and DJ/producer GRiZ, among other guests. • In 2013, Big Gigantic teamed up with GRiZ and producer Gramatik to form the supergroup Big Grizmatik. The ensemble has played numerous festivals over the years, including Big Gigantic’s own Rowdytown, held at Colorado’s legendary Red Rocks Amphitheater.
