With his moody electronic pop soundscapes and quavering voice, Los Angeles-based singer/producer Michl cultivated a large audience on the basis of his self-released 2016 EP and follow-up singles like 2018's Mura Masa-produced "Better with You." Over the coming years, Michl's music became more idiosyncratic, moving between organic singer/songwriter elements and experimental left-field pop. He made his full-length debut with 2023's Form Follows Function.
