About Peacey

In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. Hearing Vangelis on vinyl when I was about six years old. I remember sitting close to the speakers, fascinated by the sounds and textures. It was the first time music felt like more than just noise, it felt like a world of its own. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Atjazz, That Something Else! Gil Scott-Heron, Pieces of a Man Paul Simon, The Rhythm of the Saints Bonus Tracks Edition These 3 albums represent the epicentre of my inspiration. They opened an emotional connection to music at a young age and helped shape the way I hear sound, rhythm, and feeling, leading me to the point where I knew I wanted to create music myself. Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Dear Uncle Tim” I chose this song because it is dedicated to my Uncle Tim, who was taken from us too soon. He played a huge role in shaping my love for music from an early age, and his passion for sound left a lasting mark on me. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Hearing my single Playground featuring Rona Ray played by Huey Morgan on BBC Radio 6, followed a week later by Spoony playing it on BBC Radio 2. Hearing it on national radio like that made it feel like all the years of work were leading somewhere. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? Put the bang together, record at Abbey Road, and take the music on the road before it’s too late. Those have always been the goals in the back of my mind, the kind of dreams that never really leave you no matter how much time passes.
