Balbir Bobby

Giddha like bhangra is quintessentially a folk dance. Far more graceful than its male counterpart it traditionally was performed to dholki accompaniment. Boliyans (traditional folk songs) formed its core repertoire and like other Punjabi folk music its content could be scurrilous verging on the crude.
