About Sam Burton

Throughout the latter half of the 2010s, singer/songwriter Sam Burton's ambling, melancholy reflections earned him cache in the D.I.Y. cassette world, eventually leading to a deal with respected West Coast indie Tompkins Square, which released the full-length I Can Go with You in 2020. He also formed the retro-leaning folk-rock project Sylvie with Ben Schwab and Marina Allen which debuted in 2021. Switching over to the Partisan label, Burton resumed his solo career in 2023 with the spacious, string-laden LP Dear Departed.
