About Kölsch
Kölsch is the main alias of Rune Reilly Kølsch, a Copenhagen-based producer whose house and techno tracks are bright, melodic, and emotive. Previously known for projects such as Artificial Funk and Enur (who scored a global hit with "Calabria 2007," an updated version of an earlier instrumental single), Kølsch made Kölsch his primary concern during the 2010s, producing numerous volumes of Kompakt's Speicher series as well as a series of wistful, travelog-like full-lengths, beginning with 1977 (released in 2013). Later in the decade, he founded his own Ipso label and released collaborations with Michael Mayer, Tiga, and Sasha, in addition to issuing a continuous mix of original material on Fabric in 2019. The lushly orchestrated Now Here No Where (2020) marked his return to Kompakt. He has since issued the ambient Isopolis (2021) and the driving I Talk to Water (2023) respectively on Ipso and Kompakt.
