Universal Order of Armageddon

A highly combustible hardcore band from Baltimore, Maryland, Universal Order of Armageddon were one of the most important bands to rise from what was called the "Emo Violence" movement in the 1990s (though in their case, the violence was musical and not physical). UOA's songs were constructed around precise yet abrupt and off-kilter drumming, jagged, discordant guitars, and furious vocals offering an intelligent but unforgiving analysis of American politics and culture. Far too strong for mainstream consumption, Universal Order of Armageddon issued a fistful of small-label singles and EPs during their original run from 1992 to 1994, which were collected into a career-spanning anthology in 2024.
