In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. One of my earliest musical memories is listening to my grandmother's vinyl record of Jimmy Dean as a little boy and thinking songs like "Big Bad John," "16 Ton," and "Smoke Smoke Smoke That Cigarette" were about the coolest things ever. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? John Prine, The Tree of Forgiveness Tom Petty, Wildflowers Willie Nelson, Willie Nelson Sings Kristofferson I chose these three because I absolutely love each one of them. Tell us why you chose this song. “Chisos Mission Blues” I really enjoy the lyrical imagery and the groove of this one. I wrote it the night before we recorded it, the last day of principle recording on the "Agnes" album. It's a collection of vignettes from dangling stories I'd collected from the Big Bend. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Getting to open for Ray Wylie Hubbard has got to be up near the top. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? Just about all of them are still the on the list in the bucket.
