About Your Chance to Die

A dual female-fronted melodic death metal unit from Columbia, South Carolina, Your Chance to Die was founded in 2007 as a metalcore act by Missi Avila (vocals), Coca Avila (guitar), Chase Crouch (guitar), and Daniel Todd (drums). They released their debut album, Suscitatio Somnus, in 2011 via Red Cord Records, followed in 2013 by The American Dream. As the group's sound began to evolve, so did their lineup, and by 2016 they were operating as a five-piece, with new drummer Thomas White behind the kit, and guitarist Ron Dalton and ex-Cerebral Bore vocalist Simone Pluijmers joining the crew. That year also saw the group ink a deal with Megadeth bassist David Ellefson's EMP Label Group and begin work on their third studio long-player, Ex-Nihilo, which arrived in 2017. ~ James Christopher Monger
