In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. I remember lying on the carpet beside the record player listening to Dire Straits, over and over... I have been obsessed with that sound since I was very young. Brothers in Arms is still one of my favourite albums of all time Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Don't Leave the Light On” This is my story of being stuck in a psychologically abusive relationship. It's very personal in nature but I've dropped my usual evasiveness as to “what’s that song about” in the tiny hope that it might be helpful to someone. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Touring with Crowded House was absolute bucket-list stuff. Playing for their amazing audiences and then standing side of stage each night watching the masters at work was next level. Beautiful reminder of the power of songs to bring people together x
