In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. Hi! We're Mel and Rich from Sirsy. We started Sirsy in 2000 shortly after meeting in a disco cover band. We became fast friends, due in part to a shared love of sci-fi, and started writing songs together. We've been touring and writing ever since. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Brandi Carlile, Give Up The Ghost David Bowie, The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars (2012 Remaster) The Beatles, Abbey Road (Remastered) Rich says, "Ziggy Stardust gives me goosebumps every time I listen to it." Mel says "Abbey Road has been my favorite record ever since I was a kid." "We fell in love with Brandi with this record and later got to open for her at a music festival!" Tell us why you chose this song. “Brave and Kind” "Brave and Kind" was written after Mel was diagnosed with cancer the first time. (She's a two time survivor). Since then, it's become a life-affirming anthem for us, and our community, that encourages folks to share their stories and vulnerability.
