About Steel Panther
Steel Panther is a US comedy-rock band that brings a satirical spin to ’80s glam metal. ∙ The group cut their teeth as a glam-metal covers band on L.A.’s Sunset Strip, where they had a weekly show at the famed Viper Room. ∙ The video for “Death to All But Metal”—the lead single from their debut album, 2009’s Feel the Steel—featured comedian Sarah Silverman in a parody of Van Halen’s “Hot for Teacher” clip. ∙ In 2011, the group’s real-life inspirations Def Leppard and Mötley Crüe invited them to join their Mirror Ball Tour as special guests. ∙ All five of Steel Panther’s albums have reached No. 1 on Billboard’s US Comedy chart. ∙ Their cover of Aldo Nova’s 1982 hard rock hit “Fantasy” was used as the theme song for the MTV reality show Rob Dyrdek’s Fantasy Factory.
