In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. When I first saw Paco De Lucia at a concert in Spain it changed my musical direction. I was captivated by his passionate playing, which inspired me to blend the elements of Jazz with the rhythmic intensity of Flamenco transforming my musical identity What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? George Benson, Breezin' Gipsy Kings, Gipsy Kings Paco de Lucía, Almoraima Almoraima; I feel the fire & emotion of his flamenco playing. It stirs something deep within me. Gipsy Kings; When I first heard it I was moved by the emotions expressed. Tell us why you chose this song. “For Annette” For Annette is the very first song I wrote dedicated to the love of my life, my wife Annette. This album marked the beginning of my musical journey, and from that moment on, everything changed. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? When I heard my second album, Gypsy Flame had reached Gold status. I was overwhelmed with joy. This achievement validated my hard work. Motivated by this success & eager to shape my artistic path, I decided to launch Bolero Records a few years later. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I aim to record a jazz-focused album inspired by my formative years, sharing how those experiences shaped my musical journey, while infusing it with my signature fusion of Latin and flamenco rhythms.
